Frequently Asked Questions

I am interested in a free consultation! how do i proceed?
Great! Please fill out this form and we will contact you as soon as possible.
how and when do you accept payment?
Payment is due on or before the first day of scheduled services. Payments are accepted in forms of cash, check (made out to Bandito Pet Sitting) or by credit/debit cards.
I had a last minute trip suddenly come up! can you help me?
Unless you are an existing and established client, probably not! However, I do network with many colleagues and can usually provide you with a couple referrals to other local professionals.
how long are visits?
Potty Breaks are up to 15 minutes in length.
Weekly dog walking is 20-25 minutes in length.
Vacation pet sitting visits are 25-30 minutes in length.
Overnight sitting is approximately 10 hours in length.

Please note; these are standard visit times. All services can be custom designed to fit you and your pets needs.
can you medicate my pet?
We are able to give all types of medicine to most pets. This includes pills, drops, ointments, lotions & injections. There is no additional cost to administer medications.
can you keep my key on file?
Yes, this is actually our preference as well! When we keep your key on file, it does not have your name attached to it. The keys are kept in secure, locked key box until needed.
i am not interested in keeping my key on file. how will you return my key to me once services are completed?
We can leave your key for you in a pre-arranged spot outside for when you return home. We will never leave your key inside your home on the last visit should you get delayed and we need to make additional visits. If you prefer not to leave a key on file with Bandito Pet Sitting, picking up and returning a key requires two extra trips and there will be a $10 charge per trip for time and mileage.
do you board pets also?
Boarding in my home is a possibility but not a guarantee. I have two dogs of my own and live with two other people so dogs must come to my house frequently when not boarding so that they are comfortable with everyone in the household and vise versa.
My pet has a bite history and can sometimes be aggressive/timid/shy/nervous with people he/she doesn't know. can you still help us?
During your free initial consultation, if we feel your pet is too aggressive, we will not take the job. We need to make sure that we will be safe or else we won't be able to keep your pets safe. We also require that you to set up dog walking services on a trial basis prior to your planned vacation so that the pet may get more acquainted with us. 4 times out of 5, these trial visits prove to be helpful in the process of working with your pets and are essential to developing a trusting relationship.
what will you do if my pet becomes ill while i am away?
If we suspect that something is wrong with your pet, we will call you at the emergency phone numbers we have on file for you. We will describe the situation with your pet. If you believe the veterinarian should see your pet, we will transport your pet to the veterinarian's office for examination and treatment. In the event we cannot reach you, the emergency contact you left on file with us will help make the determination. If they are also unreachable we will decide if your pet should be seen by the veterinarian. If necessary, we will take your pet for treatment. You will be billed for any extra time we spend for these services.
